IT’S ALIVE!

,

Not many people know that the iconic Mr. Peanut was conceived 110 years ago (1916) in Wilkes-Barre, PA by a young schoolboy, Antonio Gentile. Fewer people know that George Washington Carver published “How to Grow the Peanut and 105 Ways of Preparing it For Human Consumption” in 1916 as well. And soon, only you and I will know that these two landmark events inspired a TOP SECRET government plot to weaponize the peanut.

You see, in 1916, the US Departments of Agriculture and War were working closely to protect our food supply, and to exploit the enemy’s as we prepared to enter WWI. The agricultural scientist assigned to peanuts was fiercely jealous of Carver, and quite mad. Influenced by Carver’s book and Gentile’s design, and I guess a heaping helping of Frankenstein, he endeavored to bring an actual peanut to life. And he succeeded! That’s right, Mr. Peanut was REAL!

Now, the reason nobody’s heard of this unbelievable scientific breakthrough is that the resulting creature was an uncontrollable killing machine. The rogue scientist prepared this peanut for human consumption alright, and I think you know where I’m going with this. Yep, there wasn’t a human on the planet Mr. Peanut would not try to consume.

In an inexplicable move, the Dept. of War decided to keep it under lock and key, like in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Why didn’t they destroy it? Makes you think.

I suggest keeping this to ourselves as it sounds a little crazy, but if you DO decide to tell anybody, you didn’t hear it from me.
