First Beer

Ok, this one’s a little silly, but it’s appropriately so on a number of levels. It’s called First Beer both because it commemorates the time in many people’s lives when they discover the joys, and subsequently, the horrors of our fine frothy friend beer, because, let’s face it, most people are lightweights when it comes to their first beer.

Materials:

• old candle holder parts
• The Children’s Hour First Story Book
• an old 1 1/4 lbs. Bollinger Barbell with “LIGHTWEIGHT” painstakingly engraved on it
• 2 antique nails
• a hose clamp
• vintage mini  Blatz Pilsener bottle (because “Blatz” could very well be onomatopoeia for barfing)
• 2 antique teaspoons
• an old ‘sleigh’ bell
• a rusty mini bottle cap
• wire
