Experimental Nude Gun

This prototype of a Nude Gun represents a low point in experimental WWII weaponry from our government’s Defense Plant Corporation. The precursor to the Reagan-era Nude Bomb, the idea was that people are more vulnerable when they’re naked, thus more easily subdued. The plan backfired, because the gun often did, leaving the shooters in their birthday suits.

Materials:

• a surprisingly heavy base from some sort of instrument that was formerly the “property of Defense Plant Corporation, an instrumentality of the U.S. government.
• an old pneumatic gun of some sort
• vacuum tube
• vintage video camera lens
• model airplane fuel tank
• dials
• switches
• tank gauge
• capacitors
• miscellaneous metal tubes
